The Blackout Pictures third full length album, “FOR NOTHING”, is a pseudo-concept album written loosely to “Texts for Nothing” by Samuel Beckett. This album explores one’s journey away from Industrialism and the human construct to the mountains in hopes of finding clarity of one’s purpose. Once travelled, one begins to understand that the Earth is the largest machine of all, leading them down a path of self-discovery, but also, loss, pain, and eventual insanity. A series of peaks and valleys that reach a roaring plateau; mirroring that manic sense of loss and mental gain that comes with the unknown.
